A swimming pool between a house’s terrace and the sea. Wonderful scenery on the island of Menorca. Local geology marked by sandstone.
The pool evokes the image of traditional sandstone. The steep slope of the site has become an attractive formal appeal. We chose an infinity pool to connect the three key elements separated by the steep slope: house, pool and sea. The end result is that the pool and the sea seem to overlap. The pool’s salt water reduces the use of chemicals and translates into maintenance savings. The pool likewise requires no chlorine.
